If We Build It…

It is becoming more common we are seeing politicians making bad judgement calls and even morally wrong decisions.

Senator Mike Lee seeks to do the right thing, not only based on his high moral character and knowledge of the constitution that is second-to-none, but based on the desires and needs of his constituents. That includes us Seniors.

That is why we work diligently to build this community of supporters and record of his accomplishments. It’s not too early to consider him running for President.

In just the past week, he and Senator Roy (R-TX) introduced the Higher Education Reform and Opportunity (HERO) Act, a bill that brings transparency, accountability, and competition to higher education.

Instead of simply waving away millions in debt and further damaging our economy, the HERO act is meant to get to the root of the problem and make higher education more affordable and achievable.

From Lee’s website: “The HERO Act aims to simplify federal student loans by offering a single option and introduces a new financial ‘skin-in-the-game’ requirement for universities. Under this requirement, universities will be rewarded for each Pell Grant graduate but will also be obliged to repay a percentage of the total loans issued, with consideration for loan default rates and the average national unemployment rate.”

Mike Lee should run for president. He’s right on the money.

Thank you Senator Lee for speaking out about about Apple.

This week, Apple made the decision to remove all podcasts of conservative radio host, Glenn Beck, from their I-Tunes platform. Not only was this decision controversial, but unexplained.

“All of my podcasts have been removed from Apple/iTunes with no explanation,” Beck posted Wednesday on X (aka Twitter).

Staunch defender of the freedom of speech, Mike Lee, added his own comments to his feed:

“It looks like I may have to go elsewhere to listen to podcasts. If @Apple is going to remove @glennbeck’s program from its podcast offerings, a whole lot of us are going to say “we found an issue with @Apple.”

He continued, “With Glenn Beck having such a large audience, you’d think @Apple would be reluctant to take this step. Sometimes such behavior can be observed with companies that face so little competition in a particular field that they don’t fear alienating millions of customers.”

Thank you Senator Lee for striving to hold big tech companies responsible for their decisions and defending the right that every American voice is heard.
