Thank you Senator Mike Lee for seriously studying the Constitution and advising others of it.
Sunday September 17 is Constitution Day, a time that we can reflect on the words and principles inspired by the United States Constitution.
President Dallin H. Oaks, the First Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a Constitutional expert and served on the Utah Supreme Court. He delivered an excellent sermon on the importance of the Constitution, which you can read by clicking here: Defending our Divinely Inspired Constitution
Tad R. Callister also published an excellent article in Meridian Magazine about the Constitution yesterday.
In other news, Utah’s other Senator, Mitt Romney, declared that he won’t be running for reelection at the end of this term. Of the Constitution, Senator Mitt Romney recently advised that “The Constitution should not be set aside.” We join Senator Lee in thanking Senator Romney for his public service.
“I want to thank @SenatorRomney for his many years of public service. I wish him the very best of success in his future endeavors, and I know that his family will enjoy the opportunity to spend more time with him.”
We likewise thank Senator Lee for his continued service to the state and nation.
Mike Lee should run for president. He’s right on the money.
